Software in final stage, app to help students understand exam pattern and manage time better: Board Secretary Dr. Major Vishal Sharma
Dharamshala, October 17, 2025 – In a major move to empower students of Himachal Pradesh, the HP School Education Board is set to provide free mock test facilities for students preparing for competitive exams like JEE and NEET from the next academic year.
The facility will be offered via a dedicated mobile application, whose software is currently in the final stage of development.
Question paper bank ready; application will be completely free
A comprehensive question bank based on JEE and NEET patterns has already been prepared. The mobile application will be provided to students free of cost, ensuring equal opportunity and support for all, especially those from economically weaker backgrounds.
Mock tests to aid in time management and self-assessment
According to Board Secretary Dr. Major Vishal Sharma:
“The mock test facility will simulate the real exam environment and help students manage time, understand question types, and identify weak areas.”
He added that the initiative is aimed at strengthening Himachal’s youth for better performance in national-level competitive exams.
A major step towards digital education
This mock test app will offer a robust practice platform, and also marks a significant step towards digital education by the HP Board. It aims to bridge the gap between urban and rural students, allowing even those from remote areas to compete effectively.
