Shimla: Congress Government Not Serious About Disaster in Himachal – Allegation by Randhir Sharma

BJP State Media Incharge and MLA Randhir Sharma has accused the Congress government of being completely indifferent to the devastating disaster that has struck Himachal Pradesh. He stated that declaring a special relief package only for Mandi district while ignoring other districts is highly discriminatory.

Sharma demanded that, just like in 2023, a special relief package should be announced for the entire state this time as well, so that all affected districts receive equal attention and assistance. He revealed that in this disaster, 1736 houses have been completely destroyed, and more than 7000 have been partially damaged. Additionally, over 8000 cattle sheds have collapsed, and nearly 300 lives have been lost.

He further alleged that national leaders of the Congress did not visit the state during the crisis, whereas BJP leaders engaged with people at every level and actively contributed to relief efforts.

Randhir Sharma warned that if the Congress government fails to announce a relief package for all districts, the Bharatiya Janata Party will launch a state-wide agitation. He asserted that turning a blind eye to public suffering is against democratic values, and BJP will not tolerate it.
