Bangladesh: Airforce F-7 Jet Crashes Into School Building in Dhaka, 1 Dead, Several Injured
A tragic accident occurred in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, where an F-7 fighter training aircraft of the Bangladesh Air Force crashed into the Milestone School and College building in Uttara. The crash occurred around 1:30 PM, and the jet burst into flames immediately, filling the area with thick black smoke.
So far, one death has been confirmed and several people have been seriously injured. Fortunately, students were not present in the school at the time, otherwise the scale of the disaster could have been much worse. Footage shows people fleeing the scene and emergency responders rushing the injured to nearby hospitals.
The Chinese-made F-7 jet had taken off at 1:06 PM and crashed only 24 minutes later. This raises serious questions — Was there a technical failure? Did the pilot attempt to avoid crashing into the building at the last moment? Why was a densely populated area chosen for the flight path? Were there any safety measures in the school building?
Rescue operations were carried out swiftly, and the injured were transported to major hospitals including Combined Military Hospital, Uttara Modern Hospital, and Dhaka Medical College. Investigation agencies and the Air Force have launched a probe to determine the cause of the crash.
