Shimla: Keval Singh Pathania thanks CM and Deputy CM for approval of Sukhahar Medium Irrigation Project

Deputy Chief Whip Keval Singh Pathania has expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri for the approval of the Sukhahar Medium Irrigation Project worth Rs 218 crore for Kangra district. He said that around Rs 21 crore will be spent in the Shahpur Assembly constituency under this project, and it will irrigate 337 hectares of land, benefiting 10 villages across six gram panchayats — Harchakkiyan, Manai, Bhupalahr, Pargod, Thehda and Lapiyana. During a meeting with the officials of the Jal Shakti Department, Pathania informed that the drinking water schemes affected due to recent rains in Shahpur will be restored soon. Rajol, Ansui, Shahpur, Bagdu Basnol and Praman Syuin have been impacted. The meeting was also attended by Jal Shakti Secretary Rakhil Kahlon and Chief Engineer Anju.
