Kullu: Devotees can visit Bijli Mahadev from the main gate during Sawan, temple not closed, caretaker denies false rumours
An important clarification has emerged from the Bijli Mahadev temple during the holy month of Sawan. Rumors were spreading rapidly on social media claiming that the temple had been closed, causing confusion among devotees. However, the temple administration has issued a statement debunking this misinformation.
Temple caretaker Vinendra Jambal confirmed that the temple gates have not been closed, and that devotees can have darshan of Lord Shiva from the main gate. This decision has been made under divine guidance, ensuring that both faith and order are maintained.
Some essential restrictions will remain in place within the temple premises – such as a complete ban on bhajans, langar events, and overnight stays. Devotees have been urged to avoid loud behavior and uphold traditional decorum.
Vinendra Jambal also condemned misleading social media posts that claimed the temple was closed, stating that such news is completely false and devotees are welcome to visit the temple through the main gate without any concern.
Good Media and the temple administration have jointly appealed to the public to uphold the sanctity of devotion, respect traditional customs, and avoid believing or spreading rumors.
